University of Queensland Student Union
UQU is the hub of student life at the University of Queensland and here to represent every UQ student across all five UQ campuses. We offer a range of services and support aimed specifically at enhancing the student experience including Student Help On Campus (SHOC); more than fifteen retail, food and beverage outlets; and a fantastic campus culture.
A number of major campus events are run by UQU throughout the year; Market Day, Toga Party, UQU Day and Oktoberfest just to name a few! We also offer over 190 clubs and societies for you to join, which are likely to meet any of your interests and hobbies.
Our SHOC services are available to all students, offering advice on a range of subjects. These include legal, education, welfare, employment, gender and sexuality, environmental initiatives, women’s rights and indigenous rights.
As an independent body, UQU represent students on all important university committees to ensure your voice is heard on all university matters. Any profits made from business activities are invested back into UQU to further improve services and facilities which benefit the students.
