Over June and July UQ Students experiencing financial difficulties were invited to apply for a SHOC, UQU Abilities, or UQU Association of Postgraduate Students bursary ranging from $200 - $500 each.
SHOC received a record number of bursary applications, three times that of 2016, and were able to award a total $30,000+ worth of bursaries to 70 successful applicants.

What is a Bursary?
A bursary is a sum money awarded to a student who needs a helping hand with their finances or studies. Awarded based on the application criteria a bursary isn’t a loan and won’t need to be paid back.
