Ignition

Otherwise known as the Neon Festival, Ignition is the biggest and wildest O-Week event with over 2,500 student’s glammed up in neon paint, 5 amazing live acts including Sezzo Snot, UV Boi and Slice N Dice. Cultural Fiesta

Cultural Fiesta is an annual event filled with sensational international cuisine, cultural performances and workshops run by UQU Clubs and Societies. This year we managed to make it bigger and tastier than ever with a wide selection of food including: pretzels, curry puffs, honey BBQ pork, vegetarian samosas and Hong Kong style waffles.

Roller Rink

This year, the Holt Room was transformed into a Roller Rink wonderland, taking it back to the 80’s.  Students were able to escape the books and enjoy a free skate with their mates. Over two day sessions and an evening roller disco, featuring DJ Sezzo Snot, there were a few falls, and plenty of laughs.

Arts Festival

2016 was an exciting year for the arts at UQ!  We hosted our very first UQU Arts Festival, a week-long event showcasing the artistic talents of UQU Clubs and Societies including acoustic and dance performances, poetry workshops, music gigs and comedy and improv games.

Food on Forgan

We brought your favourite food trucks to campus for Food on Forgan, UQU’s first food truck event including a stellar entertainment line-up and a chill out lounge filled with bean bags. You enjoyed an evening with mates surrounded by delicious wood fire pizzas, mac and cheese bowls, Banh Mi, authentic Aussie rissoles, Italian gelato ice cream and plenty more.
