Cooking in the Microwave – Banana Bread

Have a ripe banana, not much time between cram sessions, and a microwave? Then this is the study snack for you!

We all know that during iso, banana bread emerged as the superior comfort food. While we fully support everyone’s new bread obsession, ain’t nobody got time to bake an entire loaf of banana bread when exams are right around the corner. That’s why you need this super easy recipe so that you can make it in minutes, you’ll start to wonder why you ever bothered spending so much time on making a single loaf of banana bread in the first place. The best part of all, there’s basically no clean up as you’re doing the mixing, baking, and eating all with the same dish (because no one likes doing the dishes)!

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium banana, extra ripe
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • cinnamon, optional

Method:

  1. Mash up the banana
  2. Add an egg to the banana and whisk together
  3. Mix in the flour
  4. Add in the brown sugar and the cinnamon
  5. Stir together until all ingredients are well combined
  6. Microwave for 1.5 to 2.5 minutes until the banana bread is cooked through

Indulge even further with your banana bread and drizzle some Nutella over the top for some chocolatey goodness!
