The UQ Criminology & Criminal Justice Society, a UQ Union affiliated club, is a non-profit student led society at the University of Queensland Australia, St Lucia that provides students studying and interested in the subject matter with a range of networking, social and academic events. Our networking events give our members the opportunity to create professional networks within the criminal justice system. This opportunity enhances the employability for our members. Our social events offer our members the chance to form relationships with people from a range of disciplines and year-levels while also having fun. The social events offered are also our way of having our members maintain a healthy study-life balance. Our educational events are designed to support our members through each stage of their degree. Ultimately, we aim to bring students interested or studying criminal justice, criminology, criminal law, forensic science, psychology and public policy together in generating discussion on criminological and criminal justice issues and create a community of like-minded individuals. In addition to serving our members, we provide and promote educational materials on the criminal justice system to create better informed citizens.
