Campus Culture VP
UQU 2017 Executive
Hi all! My name is Alynna Wong and I am excited to be one of your Campus Culture VP’s in 2017!
I am a compulsive event planner, culture junkie and lover of Korean fried chicken! I love people and would love to hear your story and the journey you are on.
Over the last four years I have been all up in the UQU clubs and societies scene, and it has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. From being a club president, a member of the C&S Committee to receiving the Campus Culture Award in 2015, if it has something to do with clubs, you can bet that I’ve probably done it!
As the Campus Culture VP for Clubs & Societies, I look forward to building a community of clubs that is inclusive and memorable for all students. Whether you’re interested in career events, a place to meet people with similar hobbies or just looking for that home away from home in one of the international clubs, I want to be there to make your time at UQ filled with awesome experiences and help you along as you try to navigate your way through courses, jobs and the adult world.
There are exciting times ahead in 2017. Make sure you follow us on Facebook for:
- Cultural Fiesta: who doesn’t love international food?
- Easter on Forgan: food trucks, live music and chocolate Easter eggs, anyone?
- And our first ever, Pop- Culture Con: now you can watch your Lord of the Rings marathon on the big screen!
Contact me with your crazy ideas or come up and say ‘hi’ when you see me on campus! With so many things happening, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and make the most of your time at UQ in 2017.
