UQu Women's Collective
WHAT IS THE UQU WOMEN’S COLLECTIVE?
For women at UQ interested in feminist issues, who want to network and talk with other like-minded women. We aim to engage with each other as feminists and feminist theory as a whole, run events, raise consciousness and have fun.
We welcome all women, and any trans men and gender and/or sex diverse people who would like to make use of the Women's Room. This room is located in the UQ Union complex at St Lucia campus; to access it, head down the stairs towards the REDROOM and it is through the 24/7 study space on the left.
You can find out more on our website: https://womynews.wordpress.com/
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
All women students of UQ are automatically members of the UQU Women’s Collective! If you’d like to be involved, you can join up to our Facebook group. To find out meeting times during Semester 1, 2015 join the Facebook group or visit this page.
WHO ARE THE CURRENT EXECUTIVES?
The UQU Women’s Collective has a flat line structure. That means that we don’t have a hierarchy of leadership, and that anyone is welcome to get involved and contribute to planning and running events. Major decisions are made through discussion and voting if necessary.
The UQU student executive member in charge of funding for the UQU Women’s Collective is Amy Jelacic – she’s your first point of contact if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
