I’m always after something not too far from Uni but also close enough to Brisbane’s hot spots like Southbank or the Brisbane CBD etc. so my parents could easily be entertained if I ever had any classes on.
To my surprise I found a newly opened hotel named Essence Suites Taringa, I had never heard of this hotel, but I saw the potential it could have due to its close proximity to UQ. Thankfully, Essence Suites ended up being the perfect home away from away for not only my parents but also for myself too, with their spacious and luxurious rooms that perfectly accommodated my parents. The close-proximity, to Uni made it the only acceptable accommodation option for my parents that would allow me to easily visit them while still being able to focus on my studies. The extra amenities such as the guest lounge posed as such a benefit as it gave my family and I an area where I could quietly study, while my parents relax and enjoyed the views of the city.
The location of the hotel gave me great peace of mind as I knew that my parents wouldn’t be short of things to do or to see during their stay. The Taringa Station is directly behind the hotel and was merely a 2 minute walk, which my parents used to their advantage to go see the many sights Brisbane had to offer. In addition, Amaretto’s restaurant, café and bar on lower ground level, as well as the short drive or train to both the Indooroopilly and Toowong shopping centres, and The Regatta Hotel ensured that my parents were always spoiled with food choices, and once again gave me peace of mind that their stay would be as comfortable as possible.
All in all, Essence Suites Taringa is a great option for any University students who have parents coming to town, as their beautiful rooms, sweeping views and the amazing location will ensure your parents have an all-round amazing stay in Brisbane.
