Socialist Alternative UQ (SA UQ)
We’re socialists, dedicated to fighting against injustice and organising activism. We’re involved in campaigns for LGBTI rights, against racism, climate action and workers’ rights. We host political discussions and meetings on campus to discuss the radical alternative to capitalism.
Socialist Alternative is an anti-capitalist student club. We are revolutionary Marxists. We think that capitalism is unequal and puts profit above human need. Capitalism causes sexism, racism, homophobia and is responsible for destroying the environment. We believe the alternative is democratic working class control over production. We are activists at UQ and want to fight the politicians and the powerful whenever and wherever we can.
