UQ Biotechnology Society (UQBTS)

We are the University of Queensland’s founding Biotechnology Student Society. We aim to provide Professional Networking, Exclusive Employability Opportunities, Information about Research, Social Events for Science students and Mentorship Opportunities; thus, overall enhancing the student experience.

We are a collective of ambitious students from all aspects of biotechnology and STEM with an aim to help students, connect with like-minded people, build relationships, discover the world of biotechnology and connect students to industry leaders. We plan on achieving this through setting up multiple social and networking events for our members to attend. Hosting an annual biotechnology conference, lab tours, inviting companies/individuals from industry and providing information of the opportunities that can enhance your employability. Most importantly, we aim to continue engaging with our members, receiving feedback and enhancing their student experience.
