Being comfortable in our own skin. Supporting the education and passion of the next generation of skin-savvy medical graduates.
UQ Derm supports students interested in the study of the skin. We are passionate about supporting medical students with the knowledge, skills, and connections to become skin-savvy graduates. That’s important, because Queensland is the skin cancer capital of the world with ⅔ Australians suffering from skin cancer before age 70, in addition to the many other dermatologic complaints ranging from acne to toxic epidermal necrolysis. Throughout the year, we provide academic, clinical, and social events to support medical students within dermatology and advocate for patients with dermatologic conditions. Get involved with our academic peer-tutoring during dermatology study modules, exam-ready summary lectures, and research journal clubs. Come along to our networking events to connect with a community of like-minded medical students, dermatologists, skin surgeons, and skin doctors. Check in and join in online at (
