The University of Queensland (UQ) International Students Society (UQISS) is a Society for International students in The University of Queensland. UQISS covers all international students within the University of Queensland Student Union (UQU). We are founded in the year 2020 from an idea to be the hub for all international students by connecting them all and helping students in terms of social events, industry networking events and student well-being.

UQISS’s vision is to bring together all international students including International Student Clubs within UQU to one roof as a way to connect with all International students in UQ.
UQISS’s aims would be to:

As a hub for international students to gather to 1 club and have connections with domestic students.
An umbrella hub for international clubs to be united within the University of Queensland.
A hub for international students to share their culture and upskills via education events.

UQISS would be potentially the biggest collection of Internationals students as well as local Australian students with an expansive membership base to come.

UQISS members are comprises of students from all over the world. We cover people from Asia, Oceania, America, Europe, the Americas and Africa and are open to all UQ students who wish to join, with no bias to any nationality.
