UQ Opera Society (UQOS)

The UQ Opera Society hopes to create performance and professional development opportunities for undergraduate vocal students and other interested peoples primarily by organising, casting, producing and staging operatic productions. Additionally, the club hopes to regularly hold recitals, concerts and workshops with industry professionals.

All UQ Opera Society events are open to the wider public and advertised heavily to the University of Queensland community. Through regularly holding performances, the UQ Opera Society hopes to contribute to both the University of Queensland and Brisbane’s thriving cultural sphere and improve the wider community’s access to, and enjoyment and recognition of, classical singing.
