UQ Student Association of Science Societies (UQ SASS)

We are the biggest science family on campus, an association of seven different science societies that collaborate to support science students of all disciplines.

SASS hosts a range of events throughout the year such as the UQ Science Ball, Labcoat Pubcrawl, Science Trivia, Careers in Science Week and many more! Our associated societies also host a range of their own events so check them out as well.

To become a member of SASS, simply join any of our associated societies and you will automatically become a member of SASS. You can even join multiple SASS clubs, after the first, you will receive a discounted membership on the others!

Our associated societies are UQ Stargazing & Astronomy (UQSA), Women In Science Association (WISA), Student Association of Plant Science (SAPS), Biology Society (BIOSOC), Association of Biomedical Students (ABS), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) and Physics Acronym In Need (PAIN).
