Gatton Student Association (GSA)

The Gatton Student Association, affectionately known as the GSA, is an association for the students of Gatton, voted in by the students of Gatton. We host a vast array of social events that run all year round!

UQ Film Appreciation Society (UQFAS)

UQ FAS aims to inspire, promote, and foster a love of film art. We host a film screening on the St Lucia campus at 6pm every Tuesday evening during term time, as well as hosting ‘Movie Marathon’ film screenings of 3-4 films on Tuesdays during the mid-semester breaks.

Marine Society UQ (MSUQ)

MSUQ is a new society, with the aim to connect undergrads, postgrads and academics and a wider goal of maintaining marine ecosystem health and well-being. We want to encourage students to gain skills from other fields, and be apart of the conversation on marine issues and topics.

AIBN Students’ Association (ASA)

Singapore Medical Association of Queensland (SMAQ)

SMAQ is a student representative body of current and prospective UQ medical students from Singapore, as well as non-Singaporean UQ medical students with a special interest in the Singapore healthcare sector. We aim to provide Singaporean-oriented social and academic support for our members across their pre-clinical and clinical years. In addition, we continue to facilitate the delivery of contemporaneous information from and to external stakeholders, which includes the Ministry of Health Singapore (MOHH), healthcare recruitment agencies and hospitals, the Singapore Medical Society of Australia and New Zealand (SMSANZ), and the UQ Singapore Student Society (UQSSS).

Mining and Metallurgy Association (MAMA)

The UQ Mining and Metallurgy Association (MAMA) is a student group at the University of Queensland for those studying mining engineering or metallurgy or an associated field.

UQ Chinese Medical Association (UQCMA)

An association which unites all Chinese medical students and everyone who has an interest in Chinese healthcare system. This is a place to meet current UQ Chinese medical students as well as alumni.

The VTA is the student association representing all students studying either Veterinary Technology or a dual degree of Veterinary Technology & Agribusiness at UQ Gatton Campus.

Queensland Pharmacy Students’ Association (QPSA)

The Queensland Pharmacy Students’ Association (QPSA) is a not-for-profit association run by and for pharmacy students at the University of Queensland (UQ). QPSA are based at the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) adjacent to the Princess Alexandra Hospital at Woolloongabba.

University of Queensland International Law Society (UQILS)

The UQILS exposes students to international legal issues and international law competitions. It provides opportunities to hear from speakers, and to engage in a variety of practice areas including public law, private international law, international arbitration, international human rights law, international criminal law, and international environmental law. We bring together engaged young professionals, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to discuss pertinent issues affecting the international legal discourse. We foster a supportive environment that produces complex discussions and understanding.

BRUCE Architecture Student Society

BRUCE is the Architectural society at UQ which has been initiating events and connections between year levels at the school of architecture for 30+ years

School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences Research Student Social Club (SCMB RSSC)

The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) Research Student Social Club (RSSC) runs multiple events throughout the year aimed at promoting a more collegial atmosphere between SCMB members. We host biweekly social mixers for all SCMB staff and postgraduate students to meet, network, and unwind. In addition to the mixer events, the social club also runs regular sporting activities. Social sporting events have included beach volleyball, tennis, netball, basketball and ultimate frisbee. We sponsor and are heavily involved in the famous inter-institute soccer tournament, which brings friendly competition to institutions and groups such as: AIBN, IMB, TRI, SBMS, PACE, QBI, and SCMB.
