Organisation of Planning Students (UQ OOPS)

We are the official society for students studying town planning at UQ (BRTP and MURP) and those who are involved or interested in the field of urban and regional planning.

The Organisation of Planning Students (UQ OOPS) is a UQ Union affiliated society. We aim to provide our members with opportunities in industry, social and sporting fields. As a small society, we take pride in truly knowing our members and providing events tailored for them. OOPS regularly partners with other UQU societies, inter-uni societies and the UQ School of Environment, and UQ School of Architecture, Design and Planning (ADP) to provide cross disciplinary events. OOPS holds a number of annually reoccurring events that hold value in the community or within the student body itself, including Employable Skills Night, Industry Night, Awards Night, pub crawls, trivia nights, TRL competitions and other sporting teams, and our biggest event of the year – The Ball. For a further insight to OOPS events and what’s going on, please see our social media.
