What should I wear?
Anything white that you don’t mind getting paint on – Neon WILL be messy.
Where do I get my neon paint?
We will have a stall set up in Campbell Place during O-Week where you can buy paint and ask any questions about tickets.
This is a COVID-19 Safe event.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
If you have purchased a UQ Student ticket you will be required to present a valid UQ Student ID upon entry.
Neon is a 17+ event. If you intend to consume alcohol, you will need to provide acceptable proof of age identification upon entry to the event in addition to your student ID.
What is acceptable proof of age identification?
- Driver licence or learners permit
- Passport (from any country)
- Government Issued Adult Proof of Age Card
- Keypass Identity Card
- Foreign Driver Licence
Note: A foreign driver licence may be accepted as evidence of age provided it has a photo and the licence holder’s date of birth. Where a foreign driver licence is not written in English, an international driver permit issued in the foreign country of origin (and including a photo of the licence holder and translation) must be presented with the foreign driver licence.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is available on campus. The closest car parks are located opposite the athletics track.
What do I need to bring to the event?
- A printed copy of your eticket – (Digital Copies may also be accepted if clearly legible)
- Proof of age identification
- If you have purchased a UQ Student ticket you will be required to present a valid UQ Student ID upon entry.
- Fluorescent and/or white attire that you’re happy to get neon paint on (optional)
- Empty, clear reusable water bottle
- Your party personality
What can’t I bring? (Bags will be checked!)
- Cigarettes/cigars or evapes
- No drinking vessels
- Illicit substances
- Bottled water
- Dangerous goods
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No, tickets are not transferable.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes please. Digital copies will be accepted if legible but a printed copy is a safer option.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be available 7 days prior to the event. The Eventbrite booking fee is a non-refundable fee. Refunds will not be available after 5 pm on Friday 12th February.
Can I leave and re-enter the event?
No. There is strictly no pass-outs at this event.
Will there be a coat room?
No. Only bring essential items.
What’s your policy on violence?
We’ll be enforcing a zero tolerance to violence, so don’t be a knob. If you are caught harassing or being violent toward a fellow party goer you’ll be kicked out and banned from all future UQU events.]
What happens if it’s raining?
This is an all weather event and will proceed unless deemed unsafe to do so.
Where can I find lost property?
Anything that is found on the night can be collected on Monday 22nd Feb from the Union Building (No.21), Level 4, 8am – 4pm. Anything not claimed by the time we close on Friday 26th of Feb, will be taken to Security in the Prentice building.
Is there an after party, and will I get let in if I’m covered in paint?
Yes! The official after party will be hosted by our friends at Prohibition. For one night only they will be relaxing their dress codes so you can head straight in and continue the fun!
Please note: The after party is an 18+ event and you will require valid proof of age I.D to enter.
