Hello hello! My name is Daniel (he/him), and for 2023 I am your Queer Collective Chair, alongside taking on my fourth year of Law/Arts degree, majoring Political Science and History.
Throughout last year as Welfare Officer for the UQU Queer Collective, I’ve encountered a variety of the outstanding issues that all students, queer or not, face across their time studying. Yet, a collective cannot help every student, or solve every one of these issues.
For this reason, my primary goal is to help queer students connect with one another not just through the collective, but through their studies, campus spaces, and broader identities. No queer person should have to feel alone at UQ, and I can’t wait to help make this happen.
