Hi, my name is Kaiyin, I’m a final year science student currently completing my honours in chemistry.
In my time at UQ, I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be involved in our vibrant student community. But I’ve also learned through these experiences that not every student has an easy time.
That’s why I’m proud to be working with the Student Rights team at the Union this year. I believe that all students are entitled to a world-class education. Students should be focused on learning as much as they can and building a bright future for themselves – without being held back by their circumstances or other barriers.
In 2019, I’ll be working to improve academic representation. By building a strong system of academic advocacy, the student voice can be heard at UQ.
