Events Coordinator
UQU are looking for an Events Coordinator!

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Commencement: ASAP

Working on a range of student engagement events, you will plan, coordinate and manage events and activities to engage UQ students on campus. The role calls for a passionate individual with 3-5 years large-scale event management experience who is assertive, tech savvy, systems orientated, up for a challenge and lives for events!

• Create, plan, implement, manage and evaluate UQU events (on campus and online) including Market Days, O-Week events, cultural events and festivals and more.
• Plan and monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise.
• Ensure all booking details are accurate and that all event forms are completed.
• Liaise with all external suppliers/contractors relating to the coordination and hire of any event set up needs.
• Maintain databases and provide key reports for post event follow up.
• Work with relevant student portfolios to develop annual calendar of events and oversee the execution of these events.

About You
• 3-5 years demonstrated experience in planning and managing large-scale public events.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate with a range of stakeholders
• Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver a wide range of tasks to meet deadlines.
• Budget preparation and management experience.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to problem solve under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Proficient in CRM tools, Eventbrite, Typeform and Adobe.
• Flexibility to be available outside of normal working hours for events
